Jagdamba Motors, the official distributor of TVS Motor Company for Nepal, has launched the all-new TVS Apache RTR 200 4V with a BS-VI engine, single-channel ABS, and several innovative segment-first features like riding modes and adjustable suspension and lever. The BS-VI TVS Apache RTR 200 RTFi is priced at Rs 3,84,900 in the Nepalese market making it the most affordable 200cc BS-VI motorcycle in the country. TVS says this edition is supposed to take the history of TVS's racing aspirations to new heights.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr R Dilip, President-International Business, TVS Motor Company said, "The TVS Apache series has been a testament to our commitment of delivering technological prowess to our aspirational customers and racing enthusiasts across the globe in line with this ethos, we are excited to introduce our new TVS Apache RTR 200 4V motorcycle, that offers key segment-first features and technologies, which will further add to our philosophy ensuring customer delight in Nepal.”[gallery size="full" ids="28852,28850"]Similarly, Mr Shahil Agrawal, Managing Director, Jagdamba Motors Private Limited, added, "The customers of Nepal have always responded positively to the race machine proposition of TVS Apache series The new edition will only build on the excitement of the youth. We will continue supporting TVS Motor Company in creating a superior riding experience for TVS Apache customers."
The new TVS Apache RTR 200 4V motorcycle is engineered with
three ride modes
, namely
Sport, Urban, and Rain
. This system will enable riders to shift between ride modes on the fly, using the ride mode switch on the handlebar. The
Urban Mode
accounts for the engine power delivery tuned to deliver optimum power and control for the urban landscape, with the ABS optimised for a quick response. The
Rain Mode
primes the ABS to deliver the maximum response with a strong lever pulsation feel. It triggers the ABS to come in early, for perfect response in wet road conditions, keeping the rider in control of the vehicle. The
Sport Mode
allows for maximum power and sharp acceleration to take on the track or the highway. The ABS is mapped for the least intervention and highest permissible slip percentage for faster lap times.
Another powerful aspect of this motorcycle is the BS-VI compliant engine with Race Tuned Fuel Injection (RTFi) technology. TVS says, the BS-VI compliant engine with the RTFi technology is more powerful than other carburettor and FI engines, which enhances both the power and life of the engine. Powering the BS-VI Apache RTR 200 RTFi is a 197.75cc oil-cooled motor that delivers 20.54 bhp at 9000 RPM and delivers maximum torque of 17.25 Nm at 7,250 RPM. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
The motorcycle also has a first-in-segment adjustable suspension and lever, and TVS' proprietary Bluetooth-enabled SmartXonnect to display various information. The new TVS Apache RTR 200 4V motorcycle with single-channel ABS will be available in three colours namely, Gloss Black, Pearl White and the newly launched Matte Blue, inspired by the TVS OMC race bike.
